Important: Deposits Are Non-Refundable
By paying a deposit to secure your project, you acknowledge and agree that all deposits are non-refundable. Please read this policy carefully before making any payments.
1. Deposit Policy
To begin work on your project, we require a deposit payment. This deposit serves multiple purposes:
- Secures your spot in our project queue
- Covers initial project setup, research, and planning
- Demonstrates commitment to the project from both parties
- Compensates for the opportunity cost of declining other projects
ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
This includes situations where the client decides to cancel, becomes unresponsive, changes their mind about the project, or for any other reason.
2. Why Deposits Are Non-Refundable
Our deposit policy exists because:
- Immediate Work Begins: Upon receiving your deposit, we immediately begin allocating resources, conducting research, and planning your project.
- Opportunity Cost: By accepting your project, we decline other potential clients during that time slot.
- Custom Creative Work: Unlike physical products, creative services cannot be resold or returned to inventory.
- Team Scheduling: Our team members schedule their time around confirmed projects.
3. Milestone Payments
For larger projects, payments may be structured in milestones. Each milestone payment covers specific deliverables and work phases. Our milestone payment policy:
- Milestone payments are due before the corresponding work phase begins
- Payments for completed milestones are non-refundable
- If you cancel mid-project, you will be invoiced for any work completed beyond paid milestones
4. Project Cancellation
Cancellation by Client:
If you choose to cancel your project:
- Your deposit will not be refunded
- You will be invoiced for any work completed beyond the deposit amount
- Any work-in-progress may be delivered at our discretion
- You will not receive ownership of incomplete deliverables unless paid in full
Cancellation by Friendly Marketing Services:
In rare cases where we must cancel a project (e.g., discovering a conflict of interest, inability to meet requirements), we will refund your deposit in full or offer credit toward future services.
5. Refunds for Completed Work
Once work is delivered and approved:
- No refunds will be issued for completed and delivered work
- Revision requests must be submitted within the agreed revision period
- Additional revisions beyond the scope may incur extra charges
6. Monthly Retainer Services
For ongoing monthly services (marketing, SEO, maintenance):
- Monthly fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable
- Cancellation requires 30 days written notice
- No partial refunds for unused portions of the current billing cycle
- Any setup fees are non-refundable
7. Dispute Resolution
If you have concerns about the quality of work delivered:
- Contact us immediately to discuss your concerns
- We will work with you to address legitimate quality issues within the project scope
- Disputes must be raised within 14 days of delivery
- We are committed to delivering quality work and will make reasonable efforts to resolve issues
8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute for legitimately billed services may result in immediate termination of services, legal action to recover funds and associated costs, reporting to credit bureaus where applicable, and collection agency involvement. We encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any billing concerns before initiating a dispute.
9. Exceptions
Any exceptions to this refund policy must be agreed upon in writing by an authorized representative of Friendly Marketing Services. Verbal agreements or assumptions are not valid. All exceptions will be documented in your project agreement.
10. Acknowledgment
By making a payment to Friendly Marketing Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Refund Policy. This policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
